Brainy jellyfish necklace neuroscience

The idea to this came from a customer who is struggling to recover from a head injury. Jellyfish are fascinating creatures who have roamed the seas for at least 500 million years. It is not true that jellyfish have no central nervous systems (brains). They have an unusual nervous system. Instead of a single, centralized brain with a left and right side jellyfish possess a net of nerves, a “ring” nervous system where their neurons are concentrated, —a processing station for sensory and motor activity = brains

I sculpted this from bronze. The bronze is oxidized and polished to enhance details and protected with durable jewelers lacquer. It comes with an adjustable brass chain.
